ENSURE THAT SETS ARE IN PHASE BEFORE PROCEEDING.STEP 18 INCOMING SET: SET PARALLELSWITCH TO PARALLEL.PARALLEL INDICATOR WILL LIGHT.STEP 19 INCOMING SET: SET SYNCHROSCOPE SWITCH TO ONSYNCHROSCOPE WILL BEGIN ROTATING ANDLIGHTS WILL BEGIN BLINKING.STEP 20 INCOMING SET: ADJUST FREQADJRHEOSTATUNTIL SYNCHRONIZINGLIGHTS ARE BLINKING VERYSLOWLY. AND SYNCHROSCOPE NEEDLE IS ROTATING SLOWLY IN THE CLOCKWISE (FAST)DIRECTION.STEP 21 INCOMING SET: ADJUST VOLTADJ RHEOSTAT USING GEN/BUSVOLTMETER SWITCH AND ACKILOVOLTSMETER UNTIL GENAND BUSVOLTAGES ARE IDENTICAL.STEP 22 INCOMING SET: WHEN SYNCHRONIZINGLIGHTSARE DARK AND SYNCHROSCOPE NEEDLE IS IN 12O'CLOCK POSITION, SET BREAKERCONTROL SWITCH TO CLOSE.CLOSED INDICATOR WILL LIGHT.STEP 23 INCOMING SET: SET SYNCHROSCOPE SWITCH TO OFF.STEP 24 ALL SETS: ADJUST VOLTADJAND FREQADJ RHEOSTATS TO BALANCE THE LOAD ON ALL SETS ASINDICATED BY THE KILOVAR AND ACKILOWATTS METERS ADJUST VOLTADJTO EFFECT KILOVARSADJUST FREQADJ TO EFFECT KILOWATTS.STEP 25 IF ADDITIONAL GENERATOR SETS ARE TO BE PARALLELED, REPEAT STEP 12 THROUGH STEP 24,ABOVE, FOR EACH SET.STEP 26 ALL SETS: LOAD CHANGES WILL AFFECT VOLTAGE AND FREQUENCY OF DROOP-PARALLELEDSETS EQUALLY.
