To avoid short circuits which
could damage equipment or in-
jure personnel, always dis-
connect negative battery cable
before performing maintenance
on the electrical system.

Use a multimeter and test for
continuity from all wire ends
(individually) to the J29M
connector (see wire list).
f. Use multimeter and test con-
nector pins A, B and C to
housing of surge protectors
A1, A2, and A3 for open con-
dition. (see wire list)
g.
When an pin or short occurs
within the cable assembly,
repair or replace the wiring
harness.
