Refer to paragraph 2-22 and operate the heater assembly to determineif heater is operational.Regulator Valve Assembly Fuel Flow Check and Adjustment.(1)(2)(3)(4)(5)(6)(7)(8)(9)Service regulator valve assembly screen, sintered filter, and metering orifice assembly (paragraph5-7b. above). Do not install burner fuel line or protective cover.Tag and disconnect electrical lead to igniter assembly (Figure 5-4).Remove screws and cover plate to expose brass adjusting screw.Connect one end of burner fuel line onto metering orifice assembly and position the other end to draininto a graduated container.Install a jumper wire across terminals of thermostat switch (37, Figure 5-1).With fuel inlet line connected and fuel at the valve, place heater assembly into operation (paragraph2-22).Using a stopwatch, time the fuel flow into graduated container. Flow should measure 1/2 pint in 10to 12 minutes. If flow is not within specified limits, rotate adjusting screw (Figure 5-4) to obtain proper flow rate.NOTERotating adjusting screw clockwise increases flow rate; rotating adjusting screwcounterclockwise decreases flow rate.Stop heater assembly operation (paragraph 2-22).(10) Install burner fuel line (Figure 5-4).(11 ) Install cover plate and secure with screws.(12) Install igniter assembly electrical lead.(13) Install heater assembly protective cover.(14) Remove jumper wire from thermostat switch.Flame Switch Adjustment.(1)(2)(3)(4)(5)Remove protective cover (Figure 5-4).Using a suitable screwdriver, rotate flame switch adjusting screw counterclockwise until heater mo-tor starts.Rotate adjusting screw clockwise until motor stops.Give adjusting screw an additional 1/2 (180 degrees) turn.Reinstall protective cover.5-7
