Make certain that cylinderwalls are clean and well lubricated withclean lubricating oil.(3) Check head gasket to be sure all grommetsand seals are in position. Install gasket overdowels so that the work "top" on gasket isvisible.(4) Position ferrule on O-ring into eachlubricating oil passage between cylinderhead and block.(5) Install guide studs into block.(6) Carefully lower cylinder heads over guidestuds and dowels.(7) Remove guide studs.(8) Lubricate capscrew threads with cleanengine lubricating oil and allow oil to drainfrom threads.CAUTIONExcessiveoilincapscrewholesinblockcouldcauseanerrorintorquevaluewhencylinderheadcapscrewsaretightened.(9) Lubricate washers and cap- screw headwasher mating surfaces with SAE 140-Wlubricant.LEGEND1.Pushrod5.Roller9.Injector13.Sleeve2.Pushrod6.Sleeve10.
