S e r v i c e u p o n R e c e i p t o f M a t e r i a l .Upon receipt of material, components shall be re-moved from shipping containers, placed in a cleanworkarea, andthe following performed:a. Check to see that all components are present.—b. Remove corrosion preventive compoundsusi;g cleaning solvent, Federal Specification P-D-680,as applicable.c.Perform a visual inspection of components forobvious deficiencies, suchas loose or missing bolts,nuts, and pinsand forbent, cracked, or broken parts.d. G e n e r a l .Winterization equipment for startingthe engine whentemperatures are between -25°F. and -65°F. consistsof a heater, coolant hoses, fuel lines, electrical con-trols, wiring harness, and mounting hardware to beinstalled in the generatorsetfor preheating the engineoil pan and cooling system.The heater can be operatedon the fuel available from the engine fuel system.Forfuel burning winterization kit operating instructions,refer to p a r a g r a p h 2 - 2 4 .4 - 4 .
