Section XII. HYDRAULIC TANK (PRECISE SETS ONLY)
8-85. GENERAL.
The hydraulic tank is located on
the left side at the front of the engine. It
is mounted to the rear of the front gear
cover plate behind the water pump. The
hydraulic tank is utilized on precise
hydraulic tank is to provide a positive
head of hydraulic fluid for the hydraulic
pump. The tank contains a liquid level
gauge at the top of the tank. A return line
inlet is located below the lowest level of
liquid allowed by the liquid level gauge.
An outlet connection is located near the
bottom of the tank. This location prevents
sediment from following into the hydraulic
system. A plugged outlet is located at the
bottom of the tank for draining sediment.
