START INCOMING UNIT.

OBSERVE SYNCHRONIZING LIGHTS OF
INCOMING UNIT.  LIGHTS SHOULD GO
CAUTION
ON AND OFF SIMULTANEOUSLY.
IF
DO  NOT  CLOSE  THE  CIRCUIT
LIGHTS GO ON AND OFF ALTERNATELY,
BREAKER ON THE INCOMING UNIT
UNITS ARE OUT OF PHASE. STOP BOTH
AT THIS TIME.
SETS (PAR. 18), AND REVERSE ANY TWO
INTERCONNECTING
JUMPER
CABLE
STEP 3.
PLACE PARALLEL SWITCH OF EACH
LEADS AT TERMINALS L1, L2, OR L3 OF
UNIT IN THE UNIT PARALLEL POSITION.
INCOMING UNIT. DO NOT INTERCHANGE
THE LEAD AT LO TERMINAL.  REPEAT
NOTE
STEPS 1 THROUGH 4.
SYNCHRONIZING
LIGHTS
OF
STEP 6.
ADJUST FREQUENCY CONTROL
INCOMING UNIT SHOULD LIGHT.
RHEOSTAT OF INCOMING UNIT UNTIL
SYNCHRONIZING
LIGHTS
OF
SYNCHRONIZING LIGHTS GO ON AND
OPERATING UNIT SHOULD REMAIN
OFF SLOWLY AT 2 TO 3 SECOND
OFF
INTERVALS.
STEP 7.
CAREFULLY  OBSERVE  FLUCTUATING
SYNCHRONIZING LIGHTS AND AT THE
INSTANT  BOTH  LIGHTS  ARE  DARK,
CLOSE THE CIRCUIT BREAKER OF THE
INCOMING  UNIT.
THE  GENERATOR
SETS
ARE
NOW
OPERATING
IN
PARALLEL.
CAUTION
DO NOT CLOSE THE CIRCUIT BREAKER OF THE INCOMING UNIT WHILE THE SYNCHRONIZING
LIGHTS ARE ON. DAMAGE TO ONE OR BOTH SETS MAY RESULT.
