Residual voltage ispresent at the generator leads with the regulator turned off, reaching SEVERALHUNDRED VOLTS on the generator set. Proper insulation and isolation ofmetering equipment must be observed when testing this generator. USE PROPERTEST EQUIPMENT TO CHECK FOR VOLTAGE before proceeding with work.(1) Inspect.(a) Inspect for overall cleanliness and signs of damage.(b) Check operation of keyed latches on front access doors (see Figure 2-2).
