Check that end-bell is securely attached to generatorhousing.3-24. ENGINEASSEMBLY.a. Lifting attachment (see figure 3-17). On ASK equippedgenerators, open air intake door, Inspect for cracks or otherphysical damage. Check that lifting eye (37) is securelymounted.b. Intake Manifold Assembly (see figure 3-19). On ASKequipped generators, if intake manifold is suspected of possibleproblems, refer to higher level of maintenance. Inspect intakemanifold (1) for cracks or physical damage. Check that manifoldis properly secured to cylinder head and mounting screws (5) andlock tabs (3) are in place.c. Oil Drain Hose (see figure 3-20). On ASK equipped gener-ators, remove oil access door and inspect oil drain hose forphysical damage. Check that drain valve operates properly anddoes not leak when closed. Check that oil drain hose is properlystored when not in use.d. Engine Mounting Assemblies (see figure 3-19). On ASKequipped generators, remove oil access door and batteriesaccess door. Inspect engine mounts (13) for deterioration orphysical damage.
