SCOPE.This appendix lists Integral Components of and BasicIssue Items (BII) for the 5KW Generator Set to help youinventory items required for safe and efficient operation.B-2. GENERAL.The components of end item list are divided into thefollowing sections:a. Section II. Integral Components of the End Item.These Items, when assembled, comprise the 5KW Gener-ator Set and must accompany it whenever it is transferredor turned in.b. Section III. Basic Issue Items.These are minimum essential items required to place the5KW Generator Set in operation, to operate it and to per-form emergency repairs. Although shipped separatelypacked, they must accompany the Generator Set duringoperation and whenever it is transferred between account-able officers. The illustrations will assist you with hard-to-identify items. This manual is your authority to requisitionreplacement BII based on Table(s) of Organization andEquipment (TOE) /Modification Table of Organization andEquipment (MTOE) authorization of the end item.B-3. EXPLANATION OF COLUMNS.a. Illustration: This column is divided as follows:(1) Figure Number. Indicates the figure number ofthe illustration on which the item is shown (if applicable).(2) Item Number. The number used to identify itemcalled out in the illustration.b. National Stock Number (NSN); Indicates the nationalstock number assigned to the end item which will beused for requisitioning.c. Part Number (P/N): Indicates the primary numberused by the manufacturer which controls the design andcharacteristics of the item by means of its engineeringdrawings, specifications, standards and inspection require-ments to identify an item or range of items.d. Description: Indicates the federal item name andif required, a minimum description to identify the item.e. Location. The physical location of each item Iistedis given in this column. The lists are designed to inven-tory all items in one area of the major item before movingon to an adjacent area.f. Quantity Required (Qty Reqd): This column liststhe quantity of each item required for a complete majoritem.g. Quantity: This column is left blank for use duringinventory. Under the received column, list the quantityyou actually receive on your major item. The date columnsare for use when you inventory the major item at a laterdate, such as for shipment to another site.Change 2 B-1
