TM 9-6115-658-13&P 4-6 Section III. UNIT LUBRICATION 4-7 GENERAL. 4-7.1 POWER PLANT LUBRICATION. Detailed instructions for lubrication of major components of the power plants are contained in the applicable generator set and trailer TMs. The following paragraphs identify the applicable references and contain lubrication instructions that are not included in the references. 4-7.1.1 GeneratorSetLubrication.Refer to TM 9-6115-639-13 for generator set and engine lubricationinstructions. See Appendix D for expendable supplies and materials needed for lubrication. 4-7.1.2 TrailerAssemblyLubrication.Refer to TM 9-2330-202-14&P for trailer chassis lubrication instructions. See Appendix D for expendable supplies and materials needed for lubrication. 4-7.1.3 Jack,Leveling-SupportLubrication.The rear leveling-support jack is a modification to the standard 1 ton trailer chassis. Lubrication of this rear leveling-support jack is not covered in the trailer TMs. See figure 4-2 and lubricate the rear leveling-support jack semiannually, as follows: Dry cleaning solvent used to clean parts is potentially dangerous to personnel and property. Clean parts in a well-ventilated area. Avoid inhalation of solvent fumes. Wear goggles and rubber gloves to protect eyes and skin. Wash exposed skin thoroughly. Do not smoke or use near open flame or excessive heat. Failure to observe this precaution can cause injury to personnel or damage to equipment. a. Clean the lubrication fitting (1) with dry cleaning solvent. Expendable supplies and materials needed for lubrication are listed in Appendix D. Figure 4-2.
