Installation INITIAL SETUP Tools Equipment Conditions: Reference General Mechanic’s Tool Kit Para. 4-9 General Instructions. 5180-00-177-17033 Materials/Parts Belt, V, Engine 96906-MS51O66-57 REMOVAL REMOVE ENGINE V-BELT. Loosen battery charging alter- nator retaining screw (1) and push alternator close to engine. Remove V-belt (2) from alternator (3), fan (4) and engine (5) pulleys. INSTALLATION INSTALL ENGINE V-BELT. Install V-belt (2) onto engine (5), fan (4) and alternator (3) pulleys. Pull engine alternator away from engine to put tension on V-belt (2). Tighten alternator retaining screw (1). NOTE FOLLOW ON MAINTENANCE: Connect Negative Battery Cable (Para. 4-10). 4-53
