NOTE
Hydraulic oils are not suitable to use as
test oils. The test oil shall be a straight
oil or blend of oils containing parafinic,
aromatic, or naphthenic compounds, but
not olefinic compounds, which show
little or no change in physical properties
during storage or use. The use of
various additives and/or inhibitors to
stabilize the oil is left to the discretion of
the supplier. The additives must be
antifoaming,
anticorrosive,
and
antigumming. The fuel, additives, and
color
dye
must
be
nontoxic
and
nonharmful to personnel. The chemical
and physical requirements must be as
follows:
