Each malfunction is followed by a list of testsor inspections which will help to determine probablecauses and corrective actions to take. This paragraphincludes instructions to assist the operator/crew inmaintaining the remote control module. If, duringinspections, defective components are noted, refer tonext higher level of maintenance for replacement orrepair.a.Inspection. Inspect components on the frontpanel, inside the enclosure, and on the mounting plateas follows:(1) Inspect all gauges, switches, andinstruments on front panel for cracking ordamage, loose mounting or looseconnections.(2) Inspect the telephone jack (30, figure 2-14)for damage, loose mounting, or looseconnections.(3) Inspect the panel lamps (19, figure 2-14) forloose mounting or loose connections.(4) Inspect transformer (29, figure 5-2) forcracking or damage, loose mounting orloose connections.b. Replacement.(1) Replace defective bulbs in lampassemblies.(2) Replace defective telephone jack as follows:(a) Tag and remove wires connected to thejack.(b) Remove the hex nut and flatwasherattaching jack to panel, and remove jack.(c) Install jack and secure with flatwasherand hex nut.(d) Connect wires and remove wire tags.5-8.
