TM 5-6115-593-12TO 35C2-3-463-1CAUTIONWhen operating the breaker electrically, donot disconnect the voltage source until themotor operator arm has reached the end ofits travel and stopped.(1) Disconnect all input bars, bussing, cables and control circuits to breakerCB2. The circuit breaker should beOPEN (OFF) or tripped position. If not, cycle breaker to OPEN (OFF) byconnecting 120V AC to brown and whiteleads.(2) Using an ohmmeter, verify that all polesare open by checking for continuitybetween line and load of each pole.(3) Verify that all auxiliary switches areopen by checking between each pair(one red and one white wire in tubing)and between both yellow wires.(4) Connect 24V DC (0.5 amp or greater)supply to under- voltage trip (blueleads).(5) Cycle breaker to CLOSED (ON) byconnecting 120V AC supply betweenyellow and white leads. Wait for motoroperator arm to stop moving beforedisconnecting power source.(6) Verify that all poles and auxiliaryswitches are closed (see steps 2 and 3,above).(7) Trip breaker by removing voltage fromundervoltage trip.(8) Check that all poles and auxiliaryswitches are open.(9) Reconnect 24V DC supply toundervoltage trip (blue leads).(10)Reset breaker to OPEN by connection120V AC to supply between brown andwhite leads. Indicator should point toOFF (OPEN).(11) Turn breaker ON (CLOSED) byconnection 120V AC supply betweenyellow and white leads. Indicatorshould point to ON.(12) Verify that all poles are closed.(13) Turn breaker OFF (OPEN) byconnecting 120V AC supply betweenbrown and white leads. Indicatorshould point to OFF.(14) Verify that all poles are open.(15) Disconnect all voltage supplies.(16) Refer to next higher maintenance forrepair if necessary.d. Installation.(1) Install circuit breaker CB2 (44, figure 4-12) using eight screws (43). Connectbuss bars (40, 41 and 42) using bolts(37) and screws (35), washers (36 and38) and nuts (39).NOTEIndicator on cover shows position ofoperator arm and not motor operator drive, except when sequence is proper.CAUTIONManual operation of circuit breaker CB2can be achieved by removing operator armretaining device, removing operator arm,and installing arm onto indicator hub nut. Ifarm is to be manually operated from OFFto ON (OPEN to CLOSED), theundervoltage trip (blue leads) must beenergized.(2) Refer to figure 4-15 and manuallyrestore electrical sequence by removingoperator arm retaining device andremoving operator arm, then install armonto indicator hub nut and connect a24V DC (0.5 amp or greater) powersupply to the undervoltage tro[ (blueleads). Manually operate the breakerby moving the operator arm.4-47
