Skin, eye, and respiratory protection is required toavoid injury to personnel.(3) Install.(a) Scrape all traces of old rocker housing cover gasket (2) from rocker housing cover (1) and rockerhousing (7). Ensure that gasket material removed from rocker housing does not fall inside rockerhousing. Clean rocker cover housing with solvent P-D-680, Type II, or equivalent.(b) Inspect rocker housing (1) and rocker housing (7) for damaged gasket surfaces.(c) Position a new rocker housing cover gasket (2) on rocker housing (7), and install rocker housing cover(1), using plain washers (5), lockwashers (6), and capscrews (3 and 4).(d) Tighten capscrews (3 and 4) to a torque of 30 to 35 pound-feet (41 to 47 newton-meters).3-57
