1-6. (A, MC) DESTRUCTION OF MATERIAL
TO PREVENT ENEMY USE.
Army and Marine Corps personnel shall refer to
TM 750-244-3 as a source for procedures for the
destruction of material to prevent enemy use.
1-7. (A, F, MC) ADMINISTRATIVE STORAGE.
Air Force personnel shall refer to TO 35-1-4,
Processing and Inspection of Aerospace Ground
Equipment, for storage and shipment of this
equipment.
Marine Corps personnel shall refer
to MCO P4450.7. For the Army:
a. Placement of equipment in administrative
storage should be for short periods of time when
a shortage of maintenance effort exists. Items
should be in mission readiness within 24 hours
or within the time factors as determined by the
directing authority.
During the storage period
appropriate maintenance records will be kept.
b. Before placing equipment in administrative
storage, current maintenance services and equip-
ment serviceable criteria (ESC) evaluations should
be completed, shortcomings and deficiencies
should be corrected, and all modification work
orders (MWOS) should be applied.
c. Storage site selection.
Inside storage is
preferred for items selected for administrative
storage. If inside storage is not available, trucks,
vans,
c o n e x c o n t a i n e r s a n d o t h e r c o n t a i n e r s
may be used.
1-8. PREPARATION FOR SHIPMENT AND
STORAGE.
a. (A) Army - Refer to TB 740-97-2.
b. (F) Air Force - Refer to TO 35-1-4 for end
item Generator Sets and to TO 38-1-5 for
stalled engine.
c. (N, MC) Navy and Marine Corps refer
individual service directives for requirements.
