i s n o t p r e s e n t , the problem may be the wiring
b e t w e e n the special relay box end the static
exciter/voltage regulator control box. If e DC
voltage is present, replace connector (P9) on
s o c k e t (J9) and proceed to the next step.
f . R e m o v e connector (P13) from the static
exciter/voltage regulator control box. Momentarily
hold the " s t a r t - s t o p - r u n " s w i t c h i n t h e s t a r t
position and check between pins S and R of J13
o n the control box for approximately 24 volts
D C . If a DC voltage is not present the problem
may be any one of the following items within
t h e control box.
( 1 ) Broken wiring within the control box.
(2) Current limiting resistor (R219) sets.
(3) Current limiting resistor (R17) sets.
g. R e c o n n e c t the wires previously removed
f r o m the exciter field winding (F1-F2).
