This manual contains instructions for the use of (direct and general support) and depot maintenancepersonnel responsible for maintaining the 15 KW Diesel Engine Generator Sets, Models MEP-004A,MEP-103A, and MEP–113A. The maintenance information provided herein is normally beyond the scope of thetools, equipment, personnel and supplies available at the operator and unit levels. This manual must be used inconjunction with the operator and unit manual for complete maintenance instructions for the generator sets.NOTEAccomplishment of actions /tasks at designated maintenance levels as directed in thismanual does not apply to the Air Force. Air Force users shall accomplish maintenanceat user level consistent with their capability in accordance with policies established byAFR 66-1.b. Appendix A contains a list of publications applicable to this manual.1-2. LIMITED APPLICABILITY.Some portions of this publication are not applicable to all services. These portions are prefixed to indicateservice(s) to which they pertain: (A) for Army, (F) for Air Force, and (N) for Navy.1-3. MAINTENANCE FORMS AND RECORDS.NOTEThis manual is used by Army, Air Force, and Navy personnel.
